Des,
Good posts and information(sorry guys, I express myself better in English and Uzbek than Russian). Concrete, clear, easy to understand and make sense. I don't undestand why Extasy decided to "have a go" at you. Anyway, keep it up! Also, please visit to forum.arbuz.com, "Immigration, Law and Travel" Section. A lot of people seek information you have posted here.
Further, my personal questions which need your advice/expertise.
- So, the situation is like this. My younger brother has finished Uzb univer and took TOEFL. We wanted him to do well but IBT Toefl is a real pain in.... So he failed, not a good result. After this, we want him to send to study ESL in USt and he would apply to master degree the next year. But specialists(Global Study Center- they claim that they are leaders in this area and it looks so) say he has almost NO chance of securing F1 with ESL. Apparently, Consulate is rejecting applications for ESL. How true this is?
- They advised us to apply for pre-masters which is much more serious and expensive. But it can be a lot harder for him cause it has minimum TOEFL score requirement 550pbt, 65ibt and he didn't meet it. Is it a lot easier to secure visa through this pre-master than ESL?
-My spouse and I hold B2 since march 2006. We couldn't go in planned timeframe and we have good workplace here and don't want to lose. If my brother applies to F1, may consul ask him to bring our passports and cancel it since we didn't go in intended time? My brother got a reject last year from Embassy to go US through Work and Travel Program. He had well prepared docs and everything fine but when he asked about our visa he got hesitated( I was in Japan). This 10 sec hesitation had served him a reject.
Well, we do like follow the rules... we do have a geniune intend to provide my brother with a good education (first language then affordable master degree in US). What would you advice?
thanks in advance for your advise
As I said earlier, keep it up!
